An entrepreneur with business and law degrees from the University of Michigan and more than 20 years of success in the trenches, Smith built his foundation crafting successful campaigns for brands like Coca Cola, New Balance, and Westfield Shopping Centers. Today his digital marketing and growth strategy advice is published regularly by Entrepreneur Magazine and the Huffington Post. In 2014, Smith founded Overflow Marketing Solutions. Overflow partners with Michigan businesses to help them build brand recognition and sales growth by strengthening their websites, digital advertising, content and design.

More than just another marketer, Smith performs as DJ Graffiti and has shared stages with Jay-Z, Big Sean, Eminem, Beyoncé, Snoop Dogg and more. His first marketing experiences involved building an impactful promotions team around his DJ events.

“Being a DJ is not about me. My job is to read the audience’s energy and adapt my performance to ensure they are entertained.” Smith explains, “Effective marketing initiates a similar feedback loop by assessing customers pain and helping them select products that relieve it.”

Since the onset of COVID-19, Smith has further merged his DJ and marketing worlds by performing virtual DJ events for enterprise B2B companies including Cisco Systems.
