Session: The Marriage of Data, Branding, and Marketing

As owner and president of Skidmore Studio, Drew is a fixture in brainstorms, a thoughtful strategic partner, a relationship builder, and a fierce advocate for the creative team and the Skidmore legacy. Drew graduated from Albion College in 2000 with an economics and management degree while having played football and running men’s track. In 2013, he received Crain’s Detroit Business CFO of the Year. Prior to joining the studio, Drew was a consultant, an auditor at EY, and a partner in a material handling business. His previous consultancy and entrepreneurial experience, coupled with his innate drive and passion for the purposeful work of Skidmore, helped lead the team to earn the honor of one of Michigan 50 Companies to Watch in 2019.

Committed to helping make Detroit a stronger community through nonprofit service, Drew is a board member and Treasurer of the Eastern Market Partnership, a regional board member of Big Green, an Executive Committee member for the United Way of Southeastern Michigan’s Emerging Philanthropists group, and an executive advisor to Winning Futures.

In his off-hours, Drew enjoys anything outdoors and active, preferably in an interesting location, followed with amazing food. He’s run the original marathon course in Greece, dived the Great Barrier Reef, and strangely, toured most of the grocery stores in Nairobi. You'll often find his sidekick, Stanley (a handsome boxer), hanging at the Studio throwing off some creative vibes.
