Session: Lunch Panel Digital Strategies on a Budget

Grace Hsia is the Senior Project Manager who manages programmatic strategy and operations for MForesight and the First Customer Program at the University of Michigan Institute for Research on Labor, Employment, and the Economy. She provides executive consulting, action plans, recommendations, and disbursement of a $412k MEDC state grant to 200+ advanced technology startups in biotechnology, medical device, manufacturing, materials, and digital tech.
Finally, she is the co-founder and CEO of Warmilu, a therapeutic warming technology startup. She is a go-getting tech entrepreneur who has been featured in the Detroit News, Crain’s Detroit, MIT Startup Boot Camp, HBS’s E-Conference, and Atlantic Magazine. With Warmilu, her startup is providing therapeutic warmth for reducing infant morbidity from hypothermia and providing non-pharmacologic pain relief. She has managed a budget of $80k to execute medical device development, clinical testing, manufacturing, FDA regulatory approval, marketing, and sales in the US, India, and Kenya. She was the tech mentor for the top 10 international finalists, including ProGlove and Nixie, in the Intel 2014 Make it Wearable Competition at UC Berkeley.

Grace is a University of Michigan alum. She graduated with her BSE Materials Science and Engineering (Class of 2012) from the College of Engineering and MsE Master of Entrepreneurship (Class of 2013) joint degree from the Stephen M. Ross School of Business and College of Engineering.
